Checked out Prague Biennale today. It was the last day of the 'Opening Days', so there was no charge. Turns out the opening party was on Thursday, which I regrettably missed.
I spent about 1.5 hours here = there is plenty of artwork. Three floors. Czech artwork is displayed in the basement. The basement itself is interesting, particularly its giant steel doors and industrial furnaces. Plenty of audio/visual stuff. Projectors projecting. Lights reflecting. The occasional wail.
The 10th/9th floor contain paintings + photography. There's plenty of stuff from Indian and Italian artists. Many an interesting piece. Below are a few shots I took. I ate chicken and potatoes in the cafe on the 9th floor. The exhibition is open until September 11th, 2011. It's a good way to spend an afternoon.
