Two beatmakers/djs reppin Montreal worthy of familiarization:
For the daytime: Dela
Dela hails from Paris/Montreal. His new album, Translation Lost, is dope. It's reminiscent of that kinda Ummah vibe perfect for daytime chilling. The album's theme centers on relationships and communication issues experienced by both genders. Half of the albums of the tracks are instrumental, half feature emcees (Blu & Reach) who suit the groove of the project well. Vibe to this.
Favorite track: Jay Electropietricus

For the nighttime: Dj Brace
DJ Brace, a Juno award winner and Canadian DMC champ, has skills. His second major release, Synesthesia, is an instrumental album designed to stimulate your senses not only with scratches to make you itch, but beautifully cinematic sound to make your neck crane, head nod, and mind activate.
It has that DJ-Shadow Endtroducing vibe perfect for painting, lovemaking, or walking the streets at night.
Choice track: NH 26
